Kay Kay Menon shares health update post 10 days in ICU for malaria: “Lost too much weight, voice is still not in order”
Veteran actor Kay Kay Menon was recently hospitalised due to a severe bout of malaria. On September 29, 2024, the veteran actor was admitted after his condition worsened, leading to a 10-day stay in the ICU. Menon shared an update on his recovery after being discharged three days ago.
Kay Kay Menon Speaks on Hospitalisation and ICU Stay
Menon’s health took a critical turn shortly after his admission to the hospital, requiring immediate ICU care for ten days. The actor’s battle with malaria led to significant weight loss and other complications, leaving him unable to speak properly. Speaking to Times Now via text, Menon shared, “Doctors have advised a minimum of two weeks total rest and careful nutrition since I have lost too much weight. I am unable to speak much because my voice is still not in order. Hence, communicating through text.”
Menon also mentioned that he hopes to return to work post-November 10. “I am assuming that by November 10 or so, I shall be fit enough to resume my professional work,” he added.

Despite his health issues, fans can look forward to seeing Kay Kay Menon in his next major release. He will appear in Citadel: Honey Bunny, a highly anticipated prequel to the Citadel series, co-starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Directed by Raj & DK, the series is set for an OTT release on November 7, 2024.
