BREAKING: Advance booking of Salman Khan’s Sikandar to commence nationwide on March 25
Bollywood Hungama has been at the forefront of giving exclusive newsbreaks about the much-awaited film Sikandar, starring Salman Khan. We were the first ones to inform that the makers are toying with the idea of releasing the film on a Sunday. Last week, we exclusively broke the viral news that Sikandar is indeed releasing on Sunday, March 30 and not Friday, March 28. And now we bring to you another significant development with regard to the film.
The trailer of Sikandar was released today – Sunday, March 23 – in a grand fashion in a multiplex in Mumbai. One of the posters put up outside this multiplex stated that the advance booking of the film will be thrown open two days from now, that is, Tuesday, March 25.
Last week, we also informed viewers that Sikandar is being distributed by Pen Marudhar and Tips Films has now come on board as a co-distributor. They will be aiding Pen Marudhar with the release of this much-awaited Eid film. Kumar Taurani of Tips exclusively confirmed this development.
Speaking of the trailer launch, the event was attended by superstar Salman Khan, actors Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Sathyaraj and Anjini Dhawan, producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director A R Murugadoss.
Regarding the unconventional Sunday release, a source told us, “Sikandar’s release date has been locked. It’ll arrive in cinemas on Sunday, March 30. The makers are confident that it’s the correct day for release. Sunday will be a big holiday, more so in Maharashtra as Gudi Padwa falls on that day. Meanwhile, Ramzan Eid will be celebrated on Monday, March 31. There’ll be a post-Eid holiday effect on Tuesday, April 1 and Wednesday, April 2 in many centres as well. The collections will again see a jump from Friday, April 4. Hence, until Sunday, April 6, the film’s collections will remain very strong.”
