Share, derivatives trades fade in November on F&O curbs

Trading activity in shares and equity derivatives declined significantly in November, influenced by weak stock market sentiment and new regulatory measures by Sebi to limit speculative trading in futures and options. The implementation resulted in significant drops in options and futures turnover and lower average daily trading volume. Increased contract sizes and discontinued weekly contracts also contributed to the fall.
